Just use standard cleaning and basic maintenance protocols before putting your rods and reels away for storage in them.
BoreStores Fishing Rod Cases are made from Polypropelene, a fabric that will not retain moisture. The open weave fabric allows air to circulate.  The thick pile of the fabric wicks away any moisture, while protecting you knives from damage.  They are individually cut, sewn and treated with silicone and a specially-formulated rust inhibitor for years of worry-storage. hook-and-loop closure.
