Vintage Budweiser Lager Bier Bottle, Anheuser Busch, Pre-Prohibition circa 1908-1914, Adolphus Busch Glass Manufacturing Co. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
This listing is for a vintage collectible Budweiser beer bottle from the early twentieth century. I am not an expert at dating bottles, but I believe this bottle is from 1908-1914. This estimate comes mostly from research on the bottle. The bottom of the bottle has an A B G M Co. logo. Adolphus Busch Glass began using these letters in an arch around a letter/number combo in 1908. The bottle appears to have what is called a two-part tooled finish designed for a cork. Anheuser Busch stopped offering a cork seal around 1914 in favor of crowns. Also, German references on the label stopped being used by 1918 due to WWI. So this information is where I determined my estimate of the bottle's age. Information I read about dating the label didn't exactly fit the details of this label, but it did say that there may be missing label variations.
The label has been covered with a protective film. The film probably needs to be replaced or simply removed. There is some discoloration and a part is missing as shown in the pictures. The bottle was stored in a basement and has a noticeable musty smell.
