These rack card enclosures are designed specifically to enable users of fiber-optic links to use standard rack cards as stand-alone fiber-optic modules. They permit the logical combination of a small number of rack card units in a small space without the need to place them in the traditional 19" card cage assemble designed to hold up to seventeen 1" cards.
