Our son is a teenager and said he needed his first homecoming mum to give away. Little did I know, my wife has been waiting for this moment since our son was born. I’m not from Texas and I have no idea what she was so excited about. So I searched #mum and found out that mums are serious business in TX! She took me to a craft store to show me how expensive the plain undecorated mums are so instead she bought a bunch of supplies.
Over the weekend, I found my wife at our kitchen table behind a mound of red, white and blue ribbon. She made one mum…and she had so much fun that she made another. And then two more.
Anyway, now we have more mums then we need. She said we could sell these to recoup some of the expense. Or she told me if these don’t sell, then we could pack them up and save them for next year.
Made in a smoke free and cat free home. We have a dog but she isn’t involved in the mum making process. 🐶
