    Beautiful Russian lacquer box painted in traditional Kholuy miniature art style. The box features scene from the famous Russian fairy tale called Humpbacked Pony Horse or Konyok Gorbunok.  Ivan, the youngest son of an elder farmer, was entrusted to guard an orchard at night in order to find the reason for disappearing crops. Fire bird magic creature was captured by Ivan that night.  The box is initialed by an artist.
